Prajna B K is an NVH Lab Engineer at Husqvarna Group with a passion for Structural Dynamics, Vibration Control, and Acoustics. She completed her Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from National Institute of Technology Karnataka, India, where she developed a strong foundation in engineering. This passion led her to pursue a Master's degree in Engineering Mechanics - Sound and Vibration track at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden, from 2016 to 2018. Prajna has a diverse range of experiences, including summer internships, curricular and co-curricular projects, industrial training, and research. She has worked on developing high-strength, low-weight materials, designing microvibration-attenuation platforms for spacecraft, and creating new standardized guidelines for accelerated vibration testing of electronic components. Prajna's Master Thesis at Scania, EPVA, titled “Improved guidelines for accelerated vibration testing of electronic components,” is currently being used at Scania and has helped reduce variability in tests. Currently, Prajna works as a Test Engineer for AFRY (ÅF) and creates test plans to verify a wide array of mechanical requirements, plans the test, and performs measurements. Her experience includes axle articulation, turning circle & lateral acceleration, body & torso vibration measurements, cab seat ergonomics, and climate tests. Prajna is always striving to improve her theoretical and practical skills and use them to create well-engineered and innovatively designed products. She is interested in integrating her technical skills with the knowledge acquired from her passion to study the cognitive process behind design and creativity and neuroscience. Prajna is proficient in test, research scientist, and SDET.
